We sent Nina from the Mantra team to spend a few days to network in our office in Madrid, here is her blog….
“I Went to visit Rebecca Perez in Madrid. I was able to go out on the field on the first day with “Kike” who spoke a little bit of English. Although, they speak at pace, I got a chance to pitch a couple of people who spoke English- it was amazing how similar it was to the steps we use in the UK. We were promoting charities aswell.
The next day we got a chance to have lunch with Rebeca and James having a Menu del dia, very typically Spanish! I Spent a couple of hours afterwards learning about Rebeca’s journey in the business which really inspired me to get back to Bristol and take over the world!!!
On the Thursday myself, Toni and Becky from Plymouth got a chance to do a bit of sightseeing, and by sightseeing I mean getting pictures with the many full size David Beckham attendees on every street corner! We also toured Madrid and saw all the sights.
It was a very enjoyable trip and I look forward to travelling with the company again ”

Congratulations to Jack Heywood who was promoted to level 3 of the Business Development Programme last week, here is his story so far……
“I started in the company on July 15th 2011 after previously attending Bristol University where I studied Business Marketing. I then came to Mantra Marketing in the summer and originally was going to use it as experience for my degree working in the marketing sector. However I really enjoyed my time and decided to join the business development programme. Within the 16 weeks since I started I have progressed to Crew Leader having three first generation leaders on my team. Over the last 8 weeks in the office I have made a conscious effort to build better relationships with my team and invest in their development. The biggest challenges I have faced is being patient when training others and realising everyone I train will work and learn at different speeds and different levels. I have realised you don’t have to be a particular type of person to succeed in this business. My goal is to progress to Level 4 by March of 2012 and move to Cheltenham with my leader when he opens his office”

The Mantra Marketing Team were lucky enough to visit the British Red Cross head warehouse in Warmley, Bristol this week.
The British Red Cross is one of Mantra’s biggest clients and it was great for the team to see where all their hardwork goes.
Every year, hundreds of families and individuals suffer damage to their homes . The BRC fire and emergency support service (FESS) volunteers, equipped with a specially adapted vehicle, respond around the clock to provide help when things go badly wrong.
Besides offering immediate safe shelter – along with clothing, food and shower facilities – the Red Cross also helps with practical necessities such as securing temporary accommodation and contacting insurance companies. Crucially, volunteers are trained to provide emotional support, which can make a huge difference at such a distressing time. The BRC work closely with local fire services across the UK and will arrive at the scene of the incident within 90 minutes of call.
When we asked Mantra’s Tom Hurley about his day he said ” It was such a productive day, we recieved lots of information on the work that the Red Cross does and it was a great insight. I now feel that i can explain the charity to customers much better. We were shown around the Warehouse and Dan spoke to us in detail about the BRC in the UK and Internationally. We saw all the equi
tment the BRC use and it really put things into perspective. A great day!”
